JOURNEY FROM DEATH ROW

John’s newsletter from Eastham Unit n°48

15th of February 2010

Dear all,

Tina started filling John’s new website. You will thus find some information on the “Facts” page. So far Tina and I haven’t talked about translating the new website in French, considering the blog I update is more or less the equivalent of the website. However, if you think it would be useful to translate the website, please let us know. I will thus ask some of you to help me with the translation! Let us know as well what you think of the new website, it will be useful information for John, and also for Tina who is in charge of the website.

How is John doing these days?

End of January was very cold in Texas. Besides, the heating system was stopped to avoid spreading a gastrointestinal virus that went on in seven units in Texas. Those units are in quarantine. Luckily John did not catch the virus, so he is OK. The money we sent to him allows him to go to commissary buy some food, so whenever he can he eats this boght food in his cell instead of going to chow and eat horrible food, and maybe catch whatever is going on. John thinks you helped him staying healthy lately and he is very grateful you help him buy stuff to commissary.

John’s Dad and Stepmom visited him for his birthday and they will try again get an hardship transfer in March, hopefully with new elements from the physician to help getting a positive answer.

What’s new about his judicial procedure?

Absolutely no news whatsoever from the procedure.

A new picture of John!
