Dear all,
John’s newsletter from Eastham Unit n°46
15th of December 2009
Dear all,
The holiday season is always hard to cope with for inmates who are deprived of family reunions and festivities. So let’s support John! Jpay e-mail service described below is reliable, convenient, and fast, so don’t hesitate and try it. It’s a good way to send letters. Otherwise a brightly colored Christmas card, holiday pictures, will feed his hear with warmth. Thank you very much for your support, and merry Christmas to all!

How is John doing these days?
John is rather depressed, as is often the case in this period of time, when his birthday comes closer (it’s in January) and also another year lost in prison is added to the count.
As promised last month, more information about Jpay Mail. It’s the fastest way to send a letter to an inmate. First you type your letter using the JPay website. Then your letter is printed in the mail room and delivered to the inmate. Letters This new service is only available in certain states. If you don’t see a mail option once you log in, then your inmates are currently unable to receive JPay Mail. JPay also knows where an inmate is housed at all times. If an inmate is transferred between housing units or between facilities, the JPay Mail System will know!
You can send several pages, even pictures (they will be printed in blac and white). Each page or picture costs 0,44 dollar. You have first to buy the “virtual stamps”, meaning the fee for one page, before writing your letter. You can buy one (0.44$), 10 (4.40$) or 20 stamps (8.80$). No price then if you buy several, but it may cost you less in terms of bank fees.
Letters are generally delivered to an inmate within 24 hours, sometimes sooner! Jpay asks 48 hours to deliver the letter. As all mails these letters are read and archived by the prison mail room. They are also archived by Jpay.
I warmly thank Souad who provided me with all this relevant information!
What’s new about his judicial procedure?
