John’s newsletter from Eastham Unit n°37

JOURNEY FROM DEATH ROW
John’s newsletter from Eastham Unit n°37
15th of March 2009

Dear all,

There is hardly one book left to sell! Indeed recently two people bought John’s book, and the few remaining ones will be kept by Céline in case a journalist might be interested. There might be just one book left to sell, in case one of you is interested...

How is John doing these days?

John is OK, but he really hates Eastham Unit and filled some papers in order to ask for a new transfer. When he was moved from Ellis to Eastham, he lost most of his commissary property: all the food he had bought (approximately 40 dollars worth!), some clothes, two bowls, his drawing pencils... Inmates who work in the property room deal with transferred inmates’ belongings, so it’s probably one of them who stole John’s property.

Needless to say, John misses a lot of things, and his family and friends in the US can’t help him because they suffer themselves from the economic crisis and can’t give him commissary money. So if you can afford to help him in any way, by sending commissary money through J-pay for instance, your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in John’s name!

What’s new about his judicial procedure?

Nothing new to share with you.
